Foolish- "Is he planning to infect the whole server again? If so, we gotta stop him now!"

Sam- "Yea, Foolish is right, we can't let everyone get infected."

Velvet, looking as a piece of paper with "Gay House" and house blueprints on it- "Hmm... I can't remember if Ant wanted the bedroom on the first or second floor..."

I just had a thought and… what if bbh doesn’t die but he loses himself so fully that killing him is the only way to stop him/fix him?

The behavior we saw from him today was… harrowing to say the least. Today is the first time in the entire 10+ months of the qsmp that I thought the eggs were not safe in his presence.

There were many times where my breath caught in my chest and my thoughts raced “is he going to…?”

Switching to a paxle while looking at Dapper’s bed and wondering how he could get the hat. Criting Richas twice with his sword. Following Pomme with bow drawn for several seconds several times. Idk if it was just me or the fact that the eggs are immortal rn but it felt like he hit the eggs a lot more than usual during battle. He’s usually super cautious about the sweeping edge but there was so much friendly fire today…. And the fact that he repeatedly talked about killing Richas and how Richas needed to die for stealing his horse. Usually something like that would be like oh haha so silly but… it worries me.

It seems like his body degrades through the night and slowly heals during the day only to be destroyed during the night again. More and more of him is being eaten away by his wounds and we are seeing that now in his change in behavior. We were all thinking he was going to die but what if it’s a metaphorical death? What if bbh loses everything that makes him who he is? His love, his protectiveness, his compassion… what then?

It’s already happening.

His lack of care for Pomme’s trauma around explosions. His total disregard for her distress after the nuke creeper incident. Yesterday’s stream ended in a somewhat similar situation. Pomme was upset and dug herself a hole in the ground. Bbh eventually followed her down and sung her what he remembered of Sunshine.

Today. He stayed at the top and tossed her some toast, seemingly completely unaware or uncaring of why she was upset.

He lost the song. He can’t sing to them anymore because he’s losing his ability to care.

What happens when their dad is a walking shell of his former self? What happens when he smiles and laughs and strikes them with weapons and wonders why they are distressed? He knows he is dying but what happens if he loses himself instead? What happens when his children are forced to kill him themselves?

Do you think punz takes comfort in the fact Techno could kill him in the case the egg came back? That, should he ever start to lose control of himself, Techno would be able to help him in the only way possible? Do you think he has nightmares about the egg whispering in his mind and wakes in a cold sweat?

Do you think he's ever begged Techno, through the panic and tears, to please put him down if he ever starts to appear red?

Do you think Techno would have the heart to admit he would hesitate a little?

The fact that q!BBH references Egglore I just-

I do think it’s super interesting to think about q!bbh’s character with the knowledge that his past life/past history with the eggpire is affecting his political stance and decision making. He’s terrified of having someone put into a powerful position where they have the potential of being puppeted in part because that’s what happened to him.

He’s willing to potentially kill candidates to prevent that type of corruption from even having a chance to occur because… well, maybe that’s what he had wanted someone to do to him. Maybe he’s looking at this situation and seeing something else. Maybe his anarchist stance, and his fear of a figurehead government is actually a fear of something else. Maybe he sees it as kindness, to kill the puppet and cut its strings before its master can force it to dance - can force it to suffer.

Maybe he wishes someone had been kind to him, once upon a time.

HEADCANON TIME!

There are plenty of divine figures and each of them has a vision of how the world must look like and mortals they want to succeed. There are many disagreements within godly community. Compramissions can't be made, but war of such powerful beings would demolish the whole universe and looking for new one would be tiresome. Instead, every group of divine figures in any universe have something, that looks like game. Such games have different names and rules, but always are about manipulating mortals to achieve their goals without direct interventions. They may look like game of chess, but they aren't even remotely similar.

Members of divine game in Dream SMP:

1. DreamXD. First guardian of Dream SMP. The one, who created it's world and gave it the name. Created the rules for it's divine game, that every other members agreed with. One of three best players. Stole Foolish from Mother Innit(she didn't mind it). Pretends to be divine patron of Dream, but in fact patronise George. He believe that stories have meaning only if they have end and so want every mortal to die, bringing the end to his perfect symphony

2. Mother Innit. Goddess of Life. One of three best players. In fact, she was so good, that XD could outsmart her only after years of trying to put her guard down. Divine patron of Tommy. Want the world to evolve on it's own, but will make sure, that her son would be safe and happy. Brought Kristin, her business(if it can be called like that) partner, to Game

3. Kristin. Goddess of Death. Qualified player, but does not take game seriously. She has her own realm to give little care about the world of living. Divine patron of Philza and, basically, just tries to make sure, that he will be happy in the end. During game, give some advices to Sally

4. Sally. Goddess of Ocean. Has literally no idea how to play, but tries her best(and still every move is terrible). At first was divine patron of Wilbur, but lost faith in him and began to patronize Fundy. It didn't help him mich. Youngest of Gods, if we don't count Karl Major. Appreciate Kristin's mentoring

5. Karl Major. God of Time. At first, was just ordinary Karl Jacobs, the Time Traveler. After Incident learnt everything about time traveling that Inbetween could teach and spent so many years trying to fix everything with those powers, but failing every time. Each time he tried, he lost parts of connection to the Time(he learnt, how to keep memories, but sacrifices are needed), until ascended above it. Now, tries to create the best timeline from new position. Divine patron of Karl Minor, his younger version. Stole Overseers of Inbetween and Other Side from DreamXD. Dream didn't like it. While others play "Chess", he plays "5D chess with multi universal time traveling", still failing in most timelines

6. Blood God. Pretty self-explanatory(Not just blood tho, power, rage, war and justice all are his symbols. In a way, Nether is his domain). Divine patron if Techno. With Mother Innit about allowing the world to evolve on it's own, but want to create a system, that will make this evolving just and fair. Created a fragile faction with Kristin And Mother Innit due to similar views

7. Egg. Creature of Corruption. Pet of DreamXD. NOT A PLAYER, but comes from time to time to flip the table. When it happens, everyone shout at it and tries to put away.

There was a voice in his head. There was always a voice in his head, but this one was new. He didn't know how he felt about it yet. The Egg hadn't decided. C̶̤͕͖̣̬̳̱̰͚͆́̈ȓ̵̦͇͖̫͋͊̓͌͊́e̵̛̛̩̲͍͆͋̓̽̐̚͘͝ǎ̶̗̱̭̮͍̰̀͐͐t̴̟̟̪͉̪̮̟̒̀̄̓̚è̸̱̳̭̳͓̔̍ ̸̛̭̖̳̰̣̞̉̑̎̃̍̓͊͘ͅi̴͖͕͛̿̈́͠t̷̨̢̤͔̫̮͉́̋̄̓͒̀̓̉͐͘!̴͚̄́̚ Sharp words hissed into his ear. A Demand. Delight pulsed through him. They were happy about this turn of events. Bad didn't need to think about it, the Egg would think for him. It wasn't his job to know.. Only to serve. Who are you? A̵̘͒m̵̘͑ ̴̫̓n̷̯͛o̴͒͜t̷̤͗.̶͓̃ There was danger edging every word. Deep down within him, an instinctive part of Bad knew what that meant. (He didn't want it to be true). This was wonderful. The Egg could use this to rule not only this server, but every other. Why now? B̷a̸r̴r̵i̶e̶r̸ ̵w̶e̶a̴k̸.̴ ̸M̵i̷n̵d̵ ̶w̸e̸a̸k̸.̶ ̵W̶i̴l̵l̴ ̶w̸a̵i̶t̵ ̸n̷o̷ ̶m̸o̵r̶e̶.̷ There was no doubt about it now. Bad stood in an empty bedroom, a vessel for a conversation between two devastating forces. In one ear, a parasitic monster, and in his other, the void itself. Demanding he serve both. He felt hollow. A tunnel for notes to be passed through. We will create it. C̶o̶r̶r̷e̵c̵t̷.̶.

was watching the qsmp video and lemme tell u seeing all the red stuff in the room cucurucho warped to at the end was a got damn jumpscare, the crimson egg taught me to be wary of all red stuff in minecraft

With the seeming end of the first chapter of the qsmp, I’ve been thinking a lot about my experiences so far and the moments that had me glued to the screen and bawling my eyes out. Ironically, it’s an event that was reversed and became a nightmare for Dapper but veteran q!bbh enjoyers know what I’m talking about.

Dapper’s death at the pillaged mansion is the most heart wrenching stream I’ve seen on the qsmp. Not just bbh’s screams begging Dapper to crawl to the entrance - they were glitched and were unable to do so which is why the death was reversed - but everything that happened after.

Bbh and Dapper we’re the only ones on the server thousands of blocks from spawn in a biome filled with deep snow with ZERO items at night. No food. No signs for Dapper to speak. No weapons to defend themselves. They had nothing. At night. Thousands of blocks from spawn.

Dapper just lost their first life but there was a very real possibility that they lost the second if any random mob found them. Even a vanilla zombie or skeleton could have ended Dapper’s entire story then and there. I can’t even begin to describe how tense the hour or so after the initial death was.

Trying to survive in an actively hostile environment with nothing to hope to defend yourself or your son. They managed to reach a forest where they made tools and burrowed underground where they’d be sheltered from mobs but they still had no food or armor and wooden tools. It was just… so hopeless.

Nothing on the qsmp has hit me as hard as this stream. No other egg deaths because it wasn’t just Dapper’s death but the hopeless situation following it. We all thought it was a very real possibility Dapper could have gone from two lives to none during this hour or so of utter terror and dread. It wasn’t a - welp dapper lost a life time to be upset for a while but move on. It was a - holy fucking shit we might lose Dapper here and now when we thought we were safe with the two heart buffer. Most egg perma deaths happen in an instant, there isn’t a build up of dread and fear like there was here.

It’s almost impossible to watch the stream now and feel what we were feeling at the time. We know the death was reversed and that Dapper is fine so you could never understand the pure terror and dread watching the stream live. They were so alone. They were so scared. Dapper was so small.

Idk I’m rambling. I’m excited for what this next chapter of the qsmp will bring and what horrors we’ll see but I honestly don’t think anything will ever top that stream for me. I can’t wait for them to try tho

yeah the fact that its named after that album is important the song of (mostly) the same name i used as a framework for the plot, the other songs in the album are used for character/other plot stuff and relevant whatever, im going to use song lyrics for chapter titles, there are literally characters referred to as the crimson king, the black queen, the yellow jester, all that from the song it’s all relevant and also the album is good listen to it. once the lyrics in moonchild are over i wont blame you for dipping after that point its mostly Noise

primarily a ganonbeck au but its also the one with the homoerotic friendship(????) between bellum and linebeck that did the most in making me realize that yeah i do actually ship it

also the au where i have to pull off linebeck being 19-20 and the adoptive older brother of link and aryll. but he also has to pull it off in-universe because ofc he looks nothing like them and also looks older than he actually is and the cane really doesn’t help

also yeah cane user linebeck when he was a kid he fucked up his ankle really bad (ha) and it didn’t heal correctly so he needs a cane on occasion it’s a whole thing and i hope to actually do this justice when i get around to writing this au

general setup of linebeck being an adopted family member to link and aryll and their grandmother, and he spends half of his time living with them in their small apartment and being the one most capable of actually making money, and leaves every other week for a full week to do work out in the city

the city is a sort of industrial sort of city, split into some major districts, with hylians and zora and gorons and all of the major races living in this sorta industrial slightly fantasy city. there’s a train system. originally there was some kinda body of water between sections of the city primarily to allow for sea travel but it truly doesnt work for what the story needs so it’s just a sort of industrial type city, and the whole story takes place only in the city

general plot idea is that while linebeck spends half of his time at home with his adoptive family, the other half of his time he spends, yes, doing odd jobs around the city, but most of his income comes from working directly with bellum, who assigns him targets for murder and theft, which he carries out while in costume of the 'demon of the gray moon', an urban legend figure in the city that he came up with when he was like seven that he's mostly able to pull off because of bellum's support

bellum is one of the leaders of the city. there's five and they each anonymously hold control over one of the districts in the city and all try to get and edge over the others and all have assorted little lackies working for them. bellum does have a gaggle of lackies (tbh theyre likely going to be versions of the bosses) but he is the most close and open with linebeck, who is also the only one to know that he operates as one of the leaders

ganondorf is another leader. he's the crimson king (technically one of two) in question. the main thing that kicks of the story is bellum tasking linebeck with spying on and doing research into ganondorf to see if he's one of those leaders, as bellum has a strong hunch and is trying to identify the other leaders

linebeck and bellum met when they were kids, linebeck being an actual kid and bellum kinda just. pretending to be one and acting like hes aging at a human rate and w/e. link, aryll, and their grandmother have technically met bellum, but when he appears much more human and uses a false name. he very rarely actually uses his little real demon form in this au

yeah linebeck spends a lot of his time in his work weeks hanging out with bellum and taking advantage of the higher quality of life he gets when crashing at bellum's place and living in his part of the city. there's a whole. county mouse city mouse thing going on. he does not, in fact, save a lot of the money he earns at work for the sake of his adoptive family

linebeck does really care about his adoptive family but has more complicated feelings about them and his situation, but does genuinely try to make sure they're safe, having convinced bellum to help him in that, though his more dubious activities do also happen to

in general there's the split between linebeck's time with his adoptive family and his time with bellum and as the demon of the gray moon, and how they end up mixing even while he tries to keep them separate for reasons that are mostly selfish on his end. including him deciding that he should ask ganondorf out on a date while bellum desperately tries to keep him focused on the job at hand
